FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH SCHOLARSHIP

DESCRIPTION
The First United Methodist Church Scholarship is available to graduates of Lexington High School to be used for post high school education. Several generous individuals bequeathed monies to be used for these scholarships, including the Ruppe, Banks, Walker, and Lee families. These scholarships are intended to be used for high school seniors who have been involved in Lexington United Methodist Church activities.
Multiple students could be eligible for this scholarship.
QUALIFICATIONS
This scholarship is intended for high school seniors involved in the Lexington United Methodist Church and its activities.
AWARD AMOUNT
The scholarship is $1000 per year, renewable if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA and is enrolled in a 4 or 2 year program of study. For subsequent years of college, the student will re-apply to the First United Methodist Church with transcripts and proof of enrollment.
AWARD DISBURSEMENT
The first $500 will be paid to the college with which the student is enrolled, and the second $500 will be paid to the college upon submission of the first semester transcript with a 2.5 or higher GPA and proof of enrollment for the second semester.
