BLANCHE SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

BLANCHE SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP
DESCRIPTION
Blanche Senior started at the Lexington Chamber of Commerce as a part time secretary in 1960. Part time employment turned into a full time secretary until she ultimately was advanced to Director of the Chamber. Blanche was the “welcome wagon” for all the new people who came to Lexington. Blanche was an immigrant herself, coming to the United States in 1948 from England. With Glenn Hawks she started the July 4th celebration and was in charge of the Plum Creek Days parade. She loved Lexington and loved promoting it.
