LEXINGTON TEAMMATES SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship has been established to support students who have participated in the TeamMates of Lexington program with their post-secondary education costs. The TeamMates program believes in the potential of its students to succeed and seeks to do whatever it can through mentoring to support their success. TeamMates is a statewide program with its central office located in Lincoln; however, all scholarship programs are funded and awarded locally. All qualified applicants will receive a scholarship. The amount of the Lexington TeamMates scholarship will be determined by the number of students submitting a qualified application. A separate renewal scholarship application is established for possible continued support.

QUALIFICATIONS
Consideration for this $500 scholarship will be given to any graduating senior who has actively participated in the TeamMates of Lexington program through his/her senior year of high school and is pursuing a post-secondary education. The student should have financial need. Active participation may be defined by consistent meetings with mentor(s), participation in TeamMates activities in and outside of school, and/or participation in the local Student Advisory Board. TeamMates that have “TeamMates Alumni” status must be able to document consistent meetings with his/her mentor and show continued active participation in TeamMates activities.

$500 each

AWARD DISBURSEMENT
Funds will be sent to the Office of Financial Aid and the student’s school of choice. Additional requirements may be needed for payment.
