RICHARD A. BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

DESCRIPTION
Richard and Phyllis Brown moved to Lexington in 1963. Richard and Phyllis were instrumental in starting the Lexington Youth Wrestling Program. The Brown’s ran the John Higgins Invitational Wrestling Meet, one of biggest wrestling meets in the state at that time where Phyllis would hand score each match. Phyllis established the Richard A. Brown Wrestling Scholarship upon his death.

QUALIFICATIONS
This scholarship will be presented to senior males who have participated in the wrestling program throughout their high school years.
These young men must be planning to enter college or any other tech school and be registered and accepted at that school.

AWARD AMOUNT
The amount of this scholarship is $500.

AWARD DISBURSEMENT
Funds will be paid upon successful completion of 1st semester and proof of registration for the 2nd semester with verified grades of 2.5 GPA.
You must be present at Senior Honor night to accept award.
