GENE RANSDELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
LEXINGTON PLUMCREEKERS KIWANIS CLUB
Gene Ransdell was an educator at Mid Plains Community College. He loved teaching those pursuing a career in the technical field. When Gene retired he and his wife moved to Johnson Lake and he joined the Lexington Kiwanis Club. When he died, his wife donated money to start a scholarship fund in Gene’s memory.
THE Kiwanis Club will present the GENE RANSDELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP to a senior who is planning to attend a Nebraska vocational or technical school or Nebraska community college. Applicants will be judged on the quality of their ability to express and describe their future goals and plans and their attached letters of recommendation. Applicants must be of sound moral character and a credit to your school and community.
The amount of the scholarship is $750 payable to the technical school of your choice.
Scholarship will be paid at the beginning of the second semester depending on successful registration and grades.
