LHS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP (graduating senior)

LHS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP (graduating senior)

Lexington High School alumni along with the Lexington Community Foundation have established an alumni scholarship fund to provide for one annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Lexington High School who plans to enroll as a full-time student at any university, state college, community college or technical school within the State of Nebraska.

The award is created to give tribute to the faculty and staff that help shape the futures of all Lexington High School students, and to encourage the recipients of this award to one day return the favor and give back as much as they can, whenever the opportunity may arise.

Josh Baldwin, LHS Class of 2000 and a major contributor to this scholarship endowment, shares, “I still have a lot of love and respect for the faculty and staff that helped me achieve everything about who I am today. After completing my doctorate in 25 years, some of the best teachers I ever had the opportunity to learn from came from and are currently employed with LHS; I say that with all my heart!

Consideration for the scholarship will be given to any graduating senior, who ranks in the upper 1/2 of the class, shows qualities of good character and leadership, academic achievement, financial need and participation in extra-curricular and community activities. Priority will be given to applications from students whose parents or grandparents have graduated from Lexington High School or St. Ann’s High School.
