BILL & SHIRLEY SMETS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

The Smets Family established the Bill & Shirley Smets Family Scholarship in 2023. This scholarship is valued at $500 and is awarded to a Dawson County, Nebraska graduate who is enlisting or currently enlisted in the United States Military.

The qualified Bill & Shirley Smets Family Scholarship recipient must be enlisted in any branch of the United States Military and pursuing a post-secondary education at any institution. Applicants must show a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better, have passed the Military entry endurance test, show financial need, and, in essay form (50-100 words), explain why they chose to serve our Country.
