GARY SHUBERT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The family of Gary “Shubie” Shubert has established a scholarship through the Lexington Community Foundation in his memory. Gary was actively involved in the Lexington community, was an enlisted Army sergeant, educator and coach.

As a tribute to him, and in conjunction with his love of running, this $750 scholarship is available to any Lexington High School senior who has been involved in the track or cross-country programs. The scholarship will be awarded after successful completion of the first term in any accredited post-secondary education institution in which the student is enrolled.

QUALIFICATIONS
Consideration for the scholarship will be given to any student who will be graduating from Lexington High School that has been involved in track or cross-country. The applicant must show qualities of dedication and good citizenship and must have demonstrated an outstanding effort in their sport.

AWARD DISBURSEMENT
Funds will be sent to the Office of Financial Aid and the student’s school of choice. Additional requirements may be needed for payment.
